Emily Uecker is a writer of the Pacific Northwest. Her work is published or forthcoming in Witness, American Literary Review, Hunger Mountain, and McSweeney’s.

She holds an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and has received support from the Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Chulitna Artists Residency, and Hedgebrook. She is currently a longform and nonfiction reader for Ploughshares.

Originally from Northern California, she lives and teaches in Portland, Oregon.
